I write this letter as a lifelong Republican, expressing my embarrassment and dissatisfaction with the behavior of the Republicans in the United States Congress. The world is at crisis, both Israel and Ukraine are in the dire need of our support financially and otherwise. Our country has become paralyzed by the inaction of the Republicans in Congress.
It is with shame that the Republican Party in our U.S. Congress has brought such disgrace to not only the Republicans, not only Congress, but to our country worldwide. For the party to come forward and remove McCarthy, without a plan or person in a position to take over for him, was totally irresponsible.
I am writing this letter with the hope that the Republicans and Congress will come to their senses and realize how embarrassing it is to our country and to the world not being able to pass any legislation. The ramifications of a country that is dysfunctional cannot be underestimated.
The electorate will never let the actions of the Republicans and Congress happen again.
