season at the library
The Gray Public Library’s first annual Halloween party is set for 5 to 7 p.m. the spookiest day itself, Tuesday, Oct. 31. Kids and their families are invited for music, games, snacks and a costume contest.

Election Day
food drive
The Gray Assessing Department is hosting another Election Day “Thanks for Giving” food drive and asks residents to donate non-perishable food items when voting this year.
Bring donations to the polls Nov. 7 or to Town Hall during absentee voting through Thursday, Nov. 2. Monetary donations are also accepted.
The Thanks for Giving food drive was started by Lyman Town Assessor Gina Merry in 2012, then expanded to other towns and continued in her honor after her death to cancer in 2016. For more information, go to thanksforgivingmaine.com or call the Gray assessor’s office at 657-3339, ext. 112.
Halloween dance
party, blood drive
American Legion Riders at Post 86 are celebrating Halloween with a party Saturday, Oct. 28. A blood drive will also be held from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Musical entertainment will be provided by Doug Morgan. Activities include a costume contest, raffles and more.
The party starts at 7 p.m. and goes to 10 p.m. and costs $15 per person or $25 for two. To buy tickets, call 956-1377. The post is located at 15 Lewiston Road.
A Very G-NG Halloween
trunk-or-treat reminder
“A Very G-NG Halloween,” Gray and New Gloucester’s annual trunk-or-treat holiday event, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at the New Gloucester Fairgrounds.
Registration is encouraged at gngrec.com to help organizers plan accordingly. Register once per family and include the number of children who will attend.
The event is free but donations are accepted. For more information, contact recdirector@newgloucester.com.
