Hires, promotions, appointments

Tom Fogarty was appointed the director of advancement for the Salvation Army Northern New England Division. He previously served as the community engagement officer at Androscoggin Home Healthcare + Hospice.

Michelle Allen joined MEMIC as senior vice president and chief human resources officer. She is a certified employee benefits specialist and compensation management specialist and was previously executive vice president at Androscoggin Bank.

McKenzie Blanchard has been hired as the Portland Symphony Orchestra’s director of learning and community impact. She was most recently a music teacher and choral director at Sunset Heights School in Nashua, New Hampshire. Lucas Goodman has been hired as the music librarian, a position he recently held with the Cape Symphony in Hyannis, Massachusetts. Liz Shapiro joins as production manager and has experience in similar roles with international theater touring companies. Michelle Zichella is the new major gifts and corporate officer, the same as her recent position at the University of Southern Maine Foundation.

Jessica Strating was hired by Keller Williams Realty as assistant market center administrator. She is a real estate agent in Maine and Alabama and has worked with Keller Williams since 2017. Diane Jenkins has joined as a broker assistant, with experience in real estate since 1994.

Recognition

Musician Jim Ciampi has received the Forsley Award from Northern Light Mercy Hospital for his leadership and volunteerism. He is a member of the boards of Cheverus High School, Deering Pavilion and the Italian Heritage Center.
