Supper to benefit NG Fuel Assistance
The New Gloucester Republican Committee will host their annual spaghetti supper to benefit the local emergency heating assistance fund next month. Last year they raised an impressive $15,000 to bolster the fund.
The event will be held at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 4 at the First Congregational Church Vestry, 19 Gloucester Hill Road The cost will be $10 per person and patrons will have a choice of dine-in or takeout. Special arrangements can be made to accommodate New Gloucester residents who are homebound. Delivery can be ordered in advance by calling 632-9502.
Any businesses or individuals interested in making in-kind donations can contact the New Gloucester Republican Committee at newgloucestergop@gmail.com. To contribute directly, checks payable to First Congregational Church can be mailed to First Congregational Church, PO Box 114, New Gloucester, ME 04260. Write “Emergency Fuel Assistance Fund” on the check memo line.
Brickyard Hollow Community Nights
Brickyard Hollow invites community organizations, schools and nonprofits to take part in its “Strengthening Bonds Over Brews” Community Nights every Tuesday, when a portion of sales at the New Gloucester brewpub during that time goes directly to that night’s sponsor.
Since the brewpub’s founding in 2017 in Yarmouth, it has raised raised more than $50,000 for local organizations at other Brickyard Hollow locations.

Maine Needs winter clothes drive
The Market at Pineland, 15 Farm View Drive, is hosting a winter clothing drive to benefit Maine Needs, a volunteer-led community donation center. Now through Friday, Oct. 27, there will be a box at The Market to collect new or gently used winter items such as coats, waterproof boots, snow pants, hats, gloves, hand warmers and more for both adults and children.
Maine Needs strives to help individuals and families in Maine meet their basic, material needs. Visit their website maineneeds.org to learn more, sign up to volunteer or shop from their wish list.
