On Oct. 7, Hamas launched a savage and cruel attack on Israeli civilians. Hamas barbarians slaughtered unarmed concertgoers. At point-blank range, they murdered men, women and children in their homes and on the streets. They kidnapped hundreds of men and women, some of whom are elderly and infirm, and also children. They have raped and desecrated the dead.
Hamas is a terrorist organization. Its charter calls for the obliteration and dissolution of Israel. It has no interest in a two-state solution or peace. It teaches its children to hate. It does nothing to improve the lives of its people. This attack was not against the military or government. It was an attack primarily on civilians.
Hamas hides behind its civilian population. It hides its weapons in or near schools, hospitals and homes. Hamas and its fighters have no regard for human life. They seem to have no problem sacrificing their own citizens by storing weapons near them.
At the time of writing, at least 1,000 Israelis have been slaughtered. This would be an equivalent of about 40,000 Americans if an attack of this scale should happened here. Would we let an attack of that scale done in such a heinous act of cruelty go unpunished? The world knows who committed these murders. The leaders and members of Hamas must be removed from the world.
