Jarrett Henault passed for 277 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 102 yards and two scores, and the University of New England set a school single-game scoring record with a 62-26 victory Saturday against Nichols in Biddeford.
The Nor’easters (5-1) also set school records with 362 rushing yards and 639 yards overall.
UNE’s previous scoring record was 55 points against Curry in the final game of the 2021 season.
Nathan Delgado gained 105 yards on just six carries and scored three touchdowns – two rushing, one receiving.
Berto Zepeda had six receptions for 143 yards and a touchdown. Brady Feola also caught a touchdown pass, and Damien Jones and Holdan Wilson each rushed for a TD.
BOWDOIN 35, BATES 20: Andrew Boel helped Bowdoin (3-2) erase a 17-7 deficit by throwing four touchdown passes – three to Colton Fahey – as the Polar Bears surged past the Bobcats (0-5) in Brunswick.
Boel connected with Brendan King (32 yards) and Fahey (7 yards) in the second quarter and Robbie Long added a 3-yard scoring run as Bowdoin got three straight touchdowns for a 28-17 halftime lead.
Boel was 14 of 20 for 225 yards.
Bates quarterback Colton Bosselait was 27 of 45 for 310 yards, with two touchdowns and an interception. Drew Sachs and Sergio Beltran each had a touchdown among their eight catches, but the Bobcats finished with minus-25 yards rushing.
COLBY 19, AMHERST 16: Christo Tzoumakas kicked a 25-yard field goal with three seconds remaining, lifting the Mules (3-2) over the Mammoths (2-3) at Amherst, Massachusetts.
Colby trailed 16-7 before Locksley Burke’s 2-yard touchdown run on the first play of the fourth quarter made it 16-14. The Mules then drove from their own 13 to the Amherst 5 in the final two minutes, aided by a holding penalty that negated an Amherst interception. Quarterback Thomas Keeling was 4 of 4 passing for 57 yards on the drive.
The Mules added a safety on the final play when Amherst fumbled in its own end zone.
Keeling finished 18 of 33 for 201 yards, with one interception. He also had a 2-yard touchdown run just before halftime.
HUSSON 28, CURRY 7: Nic Visser completed 19 of 29 passes for 214 yards and two touchdowns, and Tucker Buzzell returned a fumble for a touchdown to lead the Eagles (5-1) over the Colonels (2-4) in Bangor.
Elijah Garnett gained 97 yards on 24 carries, including a 2-yard touchdown run during Husson’s 21-point second quarter. Visser’s scoring passes were 16 yards to Ashton Navarrete and 39 yards to Ja’Quan Myles.
(1) GEORGIA 37, VANDERBILT 20: Carson Beck threw for 261 yards and a touchdown and ran for a score in Nashville, Tennessee, as the Bulldogs (7-0, 4-0 SEC) shook off losing star tight end Brock Bowers to a left foot injury before halftime.
Georgia extended its school record and longest active FBS winning streak to 24 games, and tied the school record for consecutive SEC wins at 23, first set between 1980 and 1983.
Vanderbilt (2-6, 0-4) lost its sixth straight overall and sixth consecutive game to Georgia.
(2) MICHIGAN 52, INDIANA 7: J.J. McCarthy threw a tiebreaking, 2-yard touchdown pass to Roman Wilson late in the first half, and the Wolverines (7-0, 4-0 Big Ten) pulled away to pummel the Hoosiers (2-4, 0-3) in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
McCarthy was very efficient over three quarters, completing 14 of 17 passes for 222 yards, with touchdown passes to Wilson, Colston Loveland and Semaj Morgan.
(3) OHIO STATE 41, PURDUE 7: Kyle McCord threw three touchdown passes, and Dallan Hayden rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown in relief of several injured running backs, helping the Buckeyes (6-0, 3-0 Big Ten) rout the Boilermakers (2-4, 1-3) in West Lafayette, Indiana.
(4) FLORIDA STATE 41, SYRACUSE 3: Jordan Travis ran for two touchdowns and tossed a 56-yard scoring pass to Keon Coleman as the Seminoles (6-0, 4-0 ACC) trounced the Orange (4-3, 0-3) in Tallahassee, Florida.
Travis completed 23 of 37 passes for 284 yards and a touchdown, shaking off an apparent injury to his non-throwing (left) hand in the second quarter.
(6) PENN STATE 63, UMASS 0: Drew Allar threw for three touchdowns and ran for another as the Nittany Lions (6-0, 3-0) prepared for next week’s trip to No. 3 Ohio State by routing the Minutemen (1-7) in a cold downpour at State College, Pennsylvania.
(7) WASHINGTON 36, (8) OREGON 33: Michael Penix Jr. threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to Rome Odunze with 1:38 remaining after a debatable fourth-down decision by Oregon, and Camden Lewis missed a 43-yard field-goal attempt on the final play as the Huskies (6-0, 3-0 Pac-12) edged the Ducks (5-1, 2-1) in Seattle.
Penix needed just two plays to go 53 yards in 33 seconds after Oregon was stopped on fourth-and-3 at the Washington 47 with 2:11 remaining. Penix threw a 35-yard strike to Ja’Lynn Polk between two defenders, then hit Odunze on a back-shoulder throw at the goal line.
(11) ALABAMA 24, ARKANSAS 21: Jalen Milroe passed for two touchdowns and rushed for a third, and the Crimson Tide (6-1, 4-0 SEC) survived a second-half rally by the Razorbacks (2-5, 0-4) in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
(16) UTAH 34, CALIFORNIA 14: Sione Vaki ran for 158 yards and two touchdowns and Ja’Quinden Jackson rushed for 94 yards and a score to lead the Utes (5-1, 2-1 Pac-12) past the Bears (3-4, 1-2) in Salt Lake City.
(19) TENNESSEE 20, TEXAS A&M 13: Dee Williams returned a punt 39 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter to put Tennessee (5-1, 2-1 SEC) ahead for the first time, and the Volunteers shut down the Aggies (4-3, 2-2) the rest of the way in Knoxville, Tennessee.
OKLAHOMA STATE 39, (23) KANSAS 32: Ollie Gordon II gained 284 yards from scrimmage and scored two touchdowns to help the Cowboys (4-2, 2-1 Big 12) beat the Jayhawks (5-2, 2-2) at Stillwater, Oklahoma.
