Hires, promotions, appointments
Town & Country Federal Credit Union in Scarborough promoted two employees to newly-created positions. Heidi Olson has been promoted to vice president of member engagement, digital services and payments. She has worked at the credit union for 24 years and has been a member relationship manager for 18 years. Jennifer Johnson was promoted to vice president of accounting and finance. She joined TCFCU in 2011 as an accounting manager.
Ruchir Jaipuriyar was hired by MEMIC as vice president of information technology and Bryan Kotlyar was hired as director of software engineering. Jaipuriyar most recently worked at RBC Wealth Management in Minneapolis, Minnesota, as a director of data services. Kotlyar served as the senior director of algorithm engineering for S&P Global Platts in New York City.
Gastroenterologist Alexander Weick has joined Portland Gastroenterology Center. He completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in gastroenterology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
Stacy O’Reilly has been hired by East Brown Cow and Commonwealth Hotels as area general manager of the hotels Hyatt Place and The Docent’s Collection in Portland. O’Reilly has over 20 years of experience in the industry and was most recently director of sales and marketing at Harraseeket Inn in Freeport.
Elle Ferris joined Fontaine Family Real Estate in Scarborough. She is a member of the Maine Association of Realtors and the Strafford County Board of Realtors in New Hampshire.
Recognition
Portland Water District’s Paul Hunt of Cape Elizabeth and Susan Jasper of Litchfield were recognized for their paper, “Responding to Customer Water Quality Inquiries,” published in the Journal of the New England Water Works Association in September 2022. They were awarded the Past Presidents Award, which goes to the second most meritorious paper published in the journal in the previous year.
Granted
Through These Doors in Portland has received a $20,000 grant from the Mary Kay Ash Foundation in honor of the Mary Kay company’s 60th anniversary. The foundation donated $20,000 grants to 60 domestic violence shelters around the country.

New England Cancer Specialists will hold a grand opening of its high-risk cancer genetics clinic at 51 Route 1 in Scarborough on Friday, Oct. 13.
