The musical version of the 1982 hit comedy “Tootsie” premiered on Broadway in 2018, and now you can see it in Maine. This time around, Michael Dorsey is struggling to make it as a stage actor and decides to audition dressed as a woman, which lands him the role in “Juliet’s Nurse.” Now using the alter ego of Dorothy Michaels, assorted forms of hilarious but also thought-provoking chaos ensue as the show sets to open. It’s also worth noting that the role of Rita Marshall, the producer of “Juliet’s Nurse,” is played by none other than Sally Struthers.
‘Joan Baez I Am A Noise’

Take a deep and fascinating dive into the life of folk music icon and painter Joan Baez. “Joan Baez I Am A Noise” will give you a front row seat to Baez’s farewell tour while also sharing tremendous archival footage like home movies and diaries. You’ll learn about Baez as an activist in the civil rights moment with MLK and the emotional toll her relationship with Bob Dylan took. If you’re a lifelong fan of her music or a casual one who wants to understand the full impact of her many contribution, be sure to buy a ticket sooner than later, as films at PMA tend to sell out.

Your inner child as well as your actual children will have a heck of a time at the Hot Wheels Monster Truck Glow Party. Legendary trucks like Mega Wrex, Tiger Shark, Boneshaker, Bigfoot and the new Gunkster will light up the floor as they battle each other and compete. Keep an eye out for the car-eating, fire-breathing robot beast Megasaurus, as well as freestyle motorcross action. Every show also includes a dance party and awesome laser light show. Want even more? Grab tix to the Hot Wheels Crash Zone pre-show party, which permits fans access to the area where the trucks are parked, along with games, contests and giveaways like an autographed card.

Maine rapper Spose (Ryan Peters) has been slaying in the hip-hop world for many years, and the video for his 2011 breakthrough song “I’m Awesome” has racked up more than 17 million views on YouTube. Spose will be sitting down for a conversation with Press Herald music writer Aimsel Ponti to talk about his career, his foray into painting and what’s next for him. Spose has promised to play a couple songs as well. Be in the audience by grabbing a ticket for Maine Voices Live, happening at One Longfellow Square.
