Zoe Radford scored 37 seconds into the fourth quarter to break a scoreless tie and Cheverus added three more goals in a nine-minute span to defeat host Falmouth 4-0 in field hockey on Monday night.
Lucy Johnson scored back-to-back goals to break it open, then Sophia St. John scored the final goal for the Stags (11-0), who have won 43 straight regular- season games.
The Navigators (8-3) got 13 saves from goalie Adele Gamage, making her first start of the season.
GORHAM 2, BIDDEFORD 1: Hannah Bickford scored from Brooke Farquhar off a direct shot corner play in the second quarter to give the Rams (10-1) the lead for good as they downed the Tigers (8-4) at Gorham.
Riley Langevin opened the scoring for Biddeford on a corner play from Ayla Lagasse and Eliza Doyon with 8:00 to play in the first quarter, but Gorham countered when Farquhar broke away on a pass from Emerson Hose 1:37 later.
Cadence Goulet had 17 saves for the Tigers, and Madison Tibbals stopped 14 shots for the Rams.
EDWARD LITTLE 1, YARMOUTH 0: Leah Thibodeau’s goal gave the Red Eddies (7-5) a big win in Auburn over the Clippers (9-1-1),.
Edward Little was aggressive offensively, sending 17 shots at the goal. Yarmouth goalie Emma Shannon (12 saves) stopped most of them, but Thibodeau got one in the goal in the third quarter.
Red Eddies goalie Kasey Smith made two saves.
BOYS’ SOCCER
BIDDEFORD 2, BONNY EAGLE 1: Huseen Saad and Zeus Rankin each had goals for the Tigers (4-8) as they knocked off the Scots (7-5-1) at Biddeford.
Lucas Drinkwater scored for Bonny Eagle.
FALMOUTH 5, CHEVERUS 0: Mikey Christman scored two goals in the first half and added one more in the second as visiting Falmouth blanked host Cheverus.
Christman set up Evan Mayo for the game’s first goal, then scored on a rebound of Sam Yoon’s shot to give the Navigators (5-4-2) a 2-0 lead at halftime.
In the second half, Christman scored from Yoon off a corner, then finished for the third time, from Mayo. Yoon completed the scoring on a free kick with 10 minutes to play.
Caden Berry stopped four shots for Falmouth.
Griffin MacLeod made 13 saves for the Stags (4-8).
PORTLAND 11, MASSABESIC 0: Kieran Sullivan and Colin Lannon each had two goals as the Bulldogs (10-1-1) handled the Mustangs (1-11) at Fitzpatrick Stadium.
Martin Kalala-Wasukundi, Eliezer Mambueni, Ronan Mas, Baptista Muanda, Francisco Samuel, Matan Schoenfeld and Osvaldo Silva also scored for Portland.
Lucas Farrenkopf made four saves for the Mustangs. Griffin Lavertu and Finn Noonan split time for the Bulldogs, who have nine shutouts and allowed four goals in 12 games.
GIRLS’ SOCCER
CHEVERUS 8, MASSABESIC 0: Sophia Monfa and Finley Brown had a pair of first-half goals as the Stags (8-3-1) cruised past the Mustangs (0-10-1) at Waterboro.
Annie Vigue had a goal and added a pair of assists for Cheverus, and Jill Foley, Alaina Homes and Reese Belanger all added goals, with Sofia Pother chipping with two assists.
THORNTON ACADEMY 5, KENNEBUNK 1: Quincy Thibault had a pair of second-half goals for the Golden Trojans (9-2-1) as they broke open 2-0 halftime lead and pulled away from the Rams (1-9-1) at Kennebunk.
Charlotte Belanger had a pair of goals for Thornton Academy, one in each half, Allison Garland had in a goal on a feed from Thibault, and Hadley Stoddard and Ashley Houde chipped in with assists.
Ava McCourt scored in the final minute of play for Kennebunk.
Ava Lomax made three saves for the Trojans, and Ellie Nunan stopped 16 shots for the Rams.
WINDHAM 3, SANFORD 2: Marley Jervais knocked home the winner in the first overtime session for the Eagles (9-3) as they got past the Spartans (7-3-1) at Sanford.
Stella Jarvais and Kyla Harvie each scored for Windham.
Hailey Tarbox had both goals for Sanford, one in each half.
Ale Hidell stopped three shots for the Eagles, Sophie Olivo turned aside 10 shots for the Spartans.
TRAIP ACADEMY 2, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 0: Keira Alessi and Meredith McGonigle scored in the first half and the Rangers (3-6-2) shut out the Seagulls (4-8) in Kittery.
Avery Bouffard assisted on Alessi’s goal in the 10th minute, and Alessi set up McGonigle in 34th.
Lilly Stuart stopped one shot for the win. Sarah Davis made eight saves for OOB.
