The Brunswick Town Council would like to essentially give away the old Central Fire station to a Portland developer and a local politician.

Developers Collaborative and Moderation Brewing submitted the only bid. How long was the bidding process, and how was this bidding process advertised?

Brunswick taxpayers were shocked by the recent revaluation of their properties. We, the taxpayers, learned all about assessed values and market values. So, we should ask why this developer and local politician are being given this building for $200,000 when it is assessed for almost $700,000. We should demand an independent appraisal of this property to determine the market value.

Brunswick citizens have repeatedly heard the urgent need for affordable housing. The Central Fire station has two stories. Why not turn it all into affordable housing units? Why is this developer working with this local politician?

There are many questions that require full public transparency. The Town Council should not vote on this until all questions are answered!
