Keegan Lathrop broke a 1-1 tie with a shot from outside the box into the top corner in the 38th minute, lifting Cape Elizabeth to a 2-1 win over Greely in a Class B South boys’ soccer match Thursday night in Cape Elizabeth.
Cape Elizabeth (3-0), ranked fourth in the Varsity Maine top 10, took the lead in the 26th minute when Sam Cochran scored after a long pass from Cam Leonhirth.
Third-ranked Greely (2-1) tied it in the 32nd minute.
WINDHAM 4, GORHAM 1: Nick Marion posted a hat trick for the Eagles (3-0) in a win over the Rams (1-1-1) at Windham.
Sam Rogers added a goal and an assist. Windham keeper Luke Hammond made five saves.
Gorham’s Jack Luciano scored a first-half goal with an assist from Chuma Johnson. Ethan Homa stopped seven shots.
FALMOUTH 1, SOUTH PORTLAND 0: Colby Morse tucked in a cross from Aidan Findlay early in the first half, and the Navigators (1-1-1) held on to beat the Red Riots (1-1-1) in Falmouth.
Caden Berry earned the shutout with three saves. South Portland’s Michael Zaccaria made four saves.
CHEVERUS 3, THORNTON ACADEMY 0: The Stags (1-2) got goals from Anton Behuniak, Chris Bitagilayi and Shane McGrath in a win over the Trojans (0-2) in Portland.
Cheverus led 2-0 at halftime on goals by Behuniak and Bitagilayi. McGrath redirected a free kick from Amselm Arbogast in the second half.
DEERING 4, WESTBROOK 3: Motasim Abdalla led the Rams (2-0-1) with two goals as they defeated the Blue Blazes (1-2) in Westbrook.
Nick Mboumba and Peter Sargent each added a goal. Deering keeper Abdala Al-Hussaini made seven saves.
Marcelin Kobenan, Mechac Boylimpo and Kevin Lelo scored for Westbrook. Jason McCarthy stopped nine shots.
YARMOUTH 3, YORK 0: Matt Gautreau scored twice and Zacarias Binda notched a goal and an assist, leading the Clippers (2-1) over the Wildcats (1-2) in Yarmouth.
Ian O’Connor stopped three shots for Yarmouth. York’s Lukas Bouchard made six saves.
MARSHWOOD 1, KENNEBUNK 1: James Melino scored an unassisted goal for Marshwood (1-1-1) in the first half, and Theo Pow tied it with an assist from Drew Sliwkowski early in the second half as the Hawks and Rams (0-1-1) played to a draw in Kennebunk.
Dylan Jones made three saves for Kennebunk. Marshwood’s Carter Shaw had six saves.
PORTLAND 4, NOBLE 0: Samuel Francis and Paulo Joao each scored twice, and Calvin Hale made two saves as the Bulldogs (2-0-1) defeated the Knights (0-2) in North Berwick.
Hunter Michaud racked up 21 saves for Noble.
NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 3, LAKE REGION 0: Jacob Colaluca tallied two goals as the Panthers (2-1) downed the Lakers (0-3) in Yarmouth.
Jack Herbert was the other goal scorer. NYA keeper Gavin Thomas made five saves.
BONNY EAGLE 5, MASSABESIC 1: Lucas Drinkwater notched a hat trick to power the Scots (2-1) past the Mustangs (0-2) in Standish.
Arlo Libby and Digby Whiting also scored for Bonny Eagle. Goalkeepers Ryder Owens and Asa Proctor combined for seven saves.
Charlie Carroll scored on a penalty kick in the first half for Massabesic. Lucas Farrenkopf made nine saves.

CAPE ELIZABETH 4, GREELY 1: Hailey Gorman tallied a pair of goals, and Addison Miller and Heather Campbell each scored once to lift the Capers (3-0) over the Rangers (2-1) in Cumberland.
Shaylee O’Grady scored for Greely.
WELLS 1, POLAND 0: Caitlin Shiels scored late in the first half with an assist from Olivia Boutot, and keeper Savannah Tardiff held the Knights (0-3) scoreless as the Warriors (2-0-1) won in Poland.
NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 3, LAKE REGION 2: Emily Robbins scored off a corner kick with less than two minutes remaining to give the Panthers (2-0) a win over the Lakers (1-2) in Naples.
Lake Region led 1-0 at halftime on a goal by Kayli Goodwin. NYA went ahead in the second half on goals by Alicia Fontaine and Lyla Casey, but Margot Tremblay tied the game with about 10 minutes left.
FIELD HOCKEY
FREEPORT 3, POLAND 0: Elizabeth Flower scored twice in the fourth quarter as the Falcons (3-0) finally broke through to beat the Knights (0-2) in Poland.
Flower sandwiched her two goals around a goal by Reed Proscia. All came within a span of six minutes.
Madeline Kryzak needed just one save for the shutout. Poland’s Addie Michaud stopped 12 shots.
SOUTH PORTLAND/WESTBROOK 2, PORTLAND/DEERING 0: Maeve Tardif and Elly Young each netted a goal, with assists from Maggie Berry and Mackenzie Hall, as South Portland/Westbrook defeated Portland/Deering in South Portland.
BIDDEFORD 1, THORNTON ACADEMY 0: Corinne Ramunno’s third-quarter goal, assisted by Emily Hussey, was all the Tigers (1-1) needed to top the Trojans (1-1) in Saco.
Alison Marines turned aside 19 shots for Thornton.
VOLLEYBALL
NYA 3, EDWARD LITTLE 1: Charlotte McLatchy recorded seven kills, four aces, four assists and nine digs as the Panthers (1-1) defeated the Red Eddies (0-1) in four sets in Yarmouth, 25-16, 25-15, 17-25, 25-14.
Eleanor Zuiches added 10 aces, two kills, five assists and four digs. Sasha Schutz had seven aces and three kills.
