Kirk Barrett Jr.

SCARBOROUGH – Kirk Barrett Jr., 75, of Scarborough, died on June 1, 2023 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.

He was born on Oct. 19, 1947 in Biddeford, the son of Kirk Barrett Sr. and Beverly (Downs) Boyd.

Kirk was a graduate of Scarborough High School and Southern Maine Technical College. He served in the Navy for four years.

For 30 years Kirk was employed with Portland Pipeline in South Portland before his retirement in 2002.

He was very well known as an antique toy dealer, and he was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. Kirk also enjoyed his time hunting deer and partridge with his oldest sons.

Kirk was predeceased by his parents Kirk Sr. and Beverly Boyd; his first wife, Diana Dakin; and a son, Kristian Barrett.

He is survived by his son, Kraig Barrett, his daughter, Danielle Barrett, his son, Kevin Barrett and his wife Kari; several grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and his second wife, Cheryl Carrier.

A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Saturday June 17, at 2 p.m. at Scarborough Memorial Cemetery.
