Willard Beach in South Portland has reopened after being closed June 1 when a wastewater pipe burst.
Bacteria levels in the water tested below the public safety threshold set by the state Department of Environmental Protection, the city said Wednesday in a press release.
The flow from the burst pipe was stopped shortly after the breakage and the pipe was repaired June 2, but the beach remained closed pending the results of the water quality tests, the city said.
