Falmouth’s summer concert series, hosted by Falmouth Parks and Community Programs, begins this month at Village Park. Residents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, picnics and blankets to join their neighbors for free musical entertainment.
The concert series kicks off with a performance at 6:30 p.m. June 26 with The Flukes, a group of fun-loving ukulele musicians playing styles from Bach to the Beatles. On July 10, The Few, a group of recreational musicians from Yarmouth, will perform music for all ages. National award winning duo 2 For Jackson will perform old and new country on July 24. The series will wrap up Aug. 7 with the Maine POPS Concert performing pop, show tunes, big band, jazz and more.
Cancellations due to inclement weather are made by 2 p.m. on the day of the concert and will be posted on Falmouth Community Programs social media pages; residents may also call 699-5302 to check on the status of that night’s performance.
