OLD ORCHARD BEACH – Has anybody told you today that you are beautiful? This was the heart of Real Bureau, a man bent on sharing the love of God he had come to know intimately.

Real was born in Lewiston, Maine and passed into eternity peacefully surrounded by his loving family, at his home in Boca Raton, Fla. at the age of 93. He graduated from St Dom’s H.S. in Lewiston in 1948. After which he joined the Marines and served for four years.

Real was preceded in death by his first wife Rita Raiche Bureau of 37 years; his parents, Joseph and Emeline Bureau; and two siblings, Norman and Andre Bureau. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Judith Terrien Bureau; his children, sons, Mark Bureau (Claire Malo) and Joseph Bureau, daughter Claire Bureau Sullivan (Donald); his brother Paul Bureau; and two grandchildren, Jonathan and David Sullivan.

Real was a true source of joy to his family, friends and those he served through many years as a hotel owner on the beach in Old Orchard Beach. He was a true gentleman and enjoyed golf, gardening, ballroom dancing and was a world traveler.

A Mass will be held on June 9 at St Margaret’s Church at 11 a.m.

A Celebration of Life will be held after Mass at Duffy’s.
