We are being shot in our schools, our supermarkets, our places of worship, our shopping malls. How is it that we can’t stop this?

There are many gun safety bills being considered by the Maine Legislature at this time: One will close loopholes in state background checks; another will ban the sale of guns to felons; a third requires a 72-hour waiting period to purchase firearms; a fourth will require the reporting of stolen guns, and the last will ban rapid-fire modification devices. We must speak up for our safety. Nothing compares to this.
