Gorham cleaned up
More than 80 volunteers bagged trash from roads, sidewalks and parking lots April 23 for the annual town cleanup, according to Bill Moreno, chairperson of the Gorham Conservation Commission.
“Once again, the community came together to beautify Gorham, picking up enough litter to fill two and a half dump trucks,” Moreno said in a press release. “We couldn’t have done this without all the volunteers – Gorham High School boys’ and girls’ lacrosse teams, Gorham High School Eco Club, Gorham Snogoers, Casco Federal Credit Union employees, and families and individuals who came out.
“Thanks to all these wonderful people who gave up their Sunday morning to make Gorham sparkle,” Moreno said.

School budget public meeting
Superintendent Heather Perry will meet with residents from 6 to 7 p.m. May 31 at the North Gorham Public Library, 2 Standish Neck Road, to discuss the school budget.
The Town Council will decide on the final municipal and school budgets on Tuesday, May 16. The school budget is slated to go to voters in a budget validation referendum June 13.
