KENNEBUNK – The Kennebunk Kennebunkport Arundel Chamber of Commerce recently celebrated the opening of new member The Creative Soul with a ribbon cutting to kick off the studio’s opening weekend.

“Our mission is to provide a space where people can come together, learn, and create,” said artist Dawn Burns, owner of The Creative Soul, in a news release. “We believe that art has the power to bring people together and create a sense of community. We want to provide a space where everyone feels welcome and inspired to explore their creative side.”

Starting in June, The Creative Soul will offer kids’ classes on Saturday mornings. The classes will be geared toward children ages 5 and older and will focus on a variety of art forms, including painting, crafting, ceramics and more.

“The goal of these classes is to encourage creativity, self-expression, and a love for the arts in the next generation,” Burns said.

According to the news release, “The Creative Soul is offering open studio sessions where customers can come in and choose from a variety of projects, including canvas painting, ceramics, and more. Whether an experienced artist or a beginner, the open studio sessions provide a fun and supportive environment for you to create and explore your creativity. Do-it-yourself kits will also be available if you prefer to do your project at home.”
