Zac Sanders doubled to left field, scoring Mason Porter with the winning run in the eighth inning as Scarborough completed a comeback and defeated Marshwood 5-4 in an SMAA baseball game Friday.

Porter, the winning pitcher with three innings of relief, led off the eighth with a single for the Red Storm (3-0).

Ronan Casey has two hits and an RBI for Marshwood (2-1), which led 4-1 before Scarborough forced extra innings with a three-run seventh. Jason Liponis delivered the key hit, a single up the middle that brought in Tyler Kenney to tie it.

CAPE ELIZABETH 2, FREEPORT 1: Pinch runner Andrew Libby stole home with nobody out in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift the Capers (4-0) over the Falcons (2-2) at Cape Elizabeth.

Three Cape pitchers combined to allow two hits and one run, with six strikeouts. Gabe Harmon was the winner with 1 1/3 innings of perfect relief, following Owen Tighe and Andy Choi.

Zane Aguiar of Freeport allowed two runs on five hits, striking out six.

GREELY 5, EDWARD LITTLE 4: Alex Gamache’s two-out RBI single in the top of eighth gave the Rangers (3-2) a victory over the Red Eddies (1-3) in Auburn.

Marky Axelsen got the win in relief of Keeler Vogt, allowing one run in 2 2/3 innings.

Campbell Cassidy, Kade Masselli and Brady Vincent all had two hits for Edward Little.

PORTLAND 6, WINDHAM 4: Henry Bibeau hit a two-run single, then came on in the sixth inning to shut down the Eagles (1-2) as Portland (1-2) won at Windham.

Reegan Buck, Cameron Allen, Liam Fay-LeBlanc and Joe Mancini also drove in runs as the Bulldogs built a 6-0 lead. Windham scored four in the sixth, including a two-run single by Alex Wing, before Bibeau pitched 1 1/3 innings of perfect relief to end it, striking out three.

CHEVERUS 9, KENNEBUNK 0: Brian Connolly pitched a one-hitter with eight strikeouts and also collected three hits as the Stags (2-1) defeated the Rams (1-2) at Portland.

Connolly had two singles and a double and drove in two runs. Cheverus benefited from five walks and three errors.

Drew Sliwkowski got the lone hit for the Rams.

BIDDEFORD 11, DEERING 1: Gino Mariello pitched a two-hitter with five strikeouts, allowing one unearned run, to lead the Tigers (1-2) past the Rams (0-2) in six innings at Hadlock Field.

Biddeford broke the game open with a five-run second, including Gavin Hackett’s run-scoring double and Landon Sirois’ two-run single. Biddeford also was aided by three walks and two hit batters in the inning.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 6, LAKE REGION 3: Abe Bouchard and Jacob Machino hit back-to-back home runs in the first inning to spark the Patriots (1-4) to a win over the Lakers (1-2) in Gray.

Bouchard’s three-run homer was followed by Machino’s solo shot that gave Gray-New Gloucester a 4-0 lead.

Machino, Colby Dehetre and Alex Henry each had two hits for the Patriots. Ian Libby pitched a five-hitter.

Jaiden Meehan led Lake Region with two hits.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 10, YORK 3: Edgar Real and Bryce Richardson each drove in two runs as the Raiders (2-3) topped the Wildcats (2-3) in Fryeburg.

Richardson, Ethan Lord and Tom Ontengco all finished with two hits. Lord pitched six innings and allowed three runs while striking out five.

SACOPEE VALLEY 7, ST. DOMINIC 0: Carson Black struck out 12 and allowed only three hits over six innings as the Hawks (4-0) shut out the Saints (4-1) in Auburn.

Austin Croteau and Caleb Vacchiano got multiple hits for Sacopee.

ERSKINE ACADEMY 4, MORSE 2: Holden McKenney’s two-run single in the top of the sixth inning snapped a 2-2 tie as the Eagles (3-1) beat the Shipbuilders (1-4) in Bath.

McKenney was 2 for 2 with a walk, and Sam Boynton scored twice for Erskine. Bo Johnson pitched four innings of one-hit relief to earn the win.

Oscar Nelson had a hit and a walk for Morse. Calin Gould allowed three hits and struck out 10 over five innings.

MT. BLUE 10, POLAND 9: Hayden Dippner hit a walk-off single in the seventh as the Cougars (2-2) clawed past the Knights (2-2) in Farmington.

Dippner also pitched five hitless innings to start the game but allowed two runs, as Mt. Blue committed eight errors.

Nolan Leso led the Cougars with three hits. Brody Walsh had two hits and three RBI.

LISBON 9, BOOTHBAY/WISCASSET 1: Levi Tibbetts and Jimmy Fitzsimmons combined to throw a one-hitter, and Tibbetts paced the offense for the Greyhounds (2-0) in a win over Boothbay/Wiscasset (0-2) at Lisbon.

Tibbetts didn’t allow a hit across the first 4 1/3 innings, striking out 10 while walking three. Boothbay/Wiscasset broke up the no-hitter and shutout in the sixth against Fitzsimmons, who added six more strikeouts.

Tibbetts hit a triple and a double, drove in a run and scored two. Jacoby Tuplin and Jack Ramich also doubled for Lisbon, which scored three in the first, two in the second and four in the sixth.

WAYNFLETE/NYA 9, MARANACOOK 2: Tanner Anctil, Jack Byrne and Cal Nice drove in two runs each as the Flyers (4-0) defeated the Black Bears (3-2) in Portland.

Luke McLaughlin had two hits for Maranacook, which trailed 7-0 before scoring twice in the fifth.

LACROSSE

EDWARD LITTLE 7, TRAIP ACADEMY 3: Andrew Clements and Evan O’Donnell each scored three goals to lead the Red Eddies (1-1) past the Rangers (3-2) in Kittery.

Clements added three assists and five ground balls.

Brody Johnson, Tucker Johnson and Joey Watts scored for Traip, and Noah Zyskowski made 12 saves.
