Brandon Boey has been promoted to senior vice president, general counsel and director of compliance at Camden National Bank. He joined the bank in 2020, working to ensure the bank’s policies, procedures and practices adhere to federal regulations. In his new role as general counsel, he will oversee the management of legal, corporate and business matters. Boey’s previous experience includes seven years as managing counsel at Unum Group and representing multinational companies with Willkie Farr & Gallagher. He holds a bachelor’s degree from New York University and a J.D. from Brigham Young University, and is a member of the Maine, Washington, D.C., and New York bars.

Theresa Falcon has been promoted to chief operating officer of InterMed P.A., a large Portland-based medical group. In her new role, she is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the overall clinical and business operations. Falcon joined the company in 2020 as its director of strategic operations and later served as interim chief operating officer. Falcon has also had roles in system development at MaineHealth. In Chicago, she worked in clinical software implementation and advisory services at Strata Decision Technology and in labor productivity improvement at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. She earned a master’s degree in health administration at Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University.

NEW HIRES

James Belanger has joined Earle W. Noyes & Sons, a Portland-based moving and storage company, as vice president of operations. Previously, he spent 23 years in the commercial contract furniture and prefabrication construction industry. In addition, he worked as a Class A CDL van operator and project manager in the moving and storage industry. Belanger attended New England College, studying civil engineering, as well as the University of Southern Maine.

Norman R. Belanger and Betts Gorsky have joined law firm Verrill as counsel in the firm’s Portland office. Belanger is a new member of the firm’s corporate and health care practices, while Gorsky will serve in the Private Clients & Fiduciary Services Group. Belanger previously worked for Verrill, but left in 1989 to open his own firm, Van Meer & Belanger, in Portland and Biddeford. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and his law degree from Harvard Law School. Prior to joining Verrill, Gorsky worked for law firms in New York City and Maine. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and her law degree from New York University School of Law.

BOARD APPOINTMENTS

Sanchita Mukherjee, an attorney with the Portland law firm Kelly Remmel & Zimmerman, has been elected to the board of directors of the Maine Trial Lawyers Association. A 2020 graduate of the University of Maine School of Law, Mukherjee is believed to be the youngest attorney ever elected to the board, which works to promote the administration of justice, improve legal practices and protect access to Maine courts. In her work, she represents victims of traffic trauma, practices family law, and works on a variety of civil cases.

The Maine Center for Entrepreneurs has appointed three new members to its board of directors: Doug DeAngelis, of Haverhill, Mass., Chris Vickers, of Brunswick, and Krystal Williams, of Portland. DeAngelis is the founder, past president and chief technology officer of Lynx System Developers Inc. and Isolynx LLC. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Maine and a master’s in computer science and electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Vickers is President and CEO of STARC Systems Inc. in Brunswick, and previously held several senior leadership positions including COO of Hancock Lumber and vice president of merchandising at L.L. Bean Inc. He holds has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.A from Colby College. Williams is founding manager of Providentia Group, a legal and business advisory firm focused on achieving economic dignity for all. In 2020, she also founded the Alpha Legal Foundation, a nonprofit working to diversify Maine’s legal profession. She is a board member of the ACLU of Maine and of Coastal Enterprises Inc. and serves as a technology adviser for the Maine Technology Institute.
