OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Vivian {Lauzon} Patterson passed away on March 2, 2023, at Cape Memory Care in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.
She was born on Aug. 1, 1934, the daughter of Albert and Yvette {Provencher} Lauzon. She married her husband Norman Patterson in 1954 and together they owned and managed Silver Springs Haven Motel & Cottages in Saco, Maine for many years. She resided in Old Orchard Beach where she had many dear friends.
Vivian was a compassionate, devoted and loving mother to her son Dwight who meant the world to her. Her passion for collecting antiques and her pin collection were her favorite hobbies that she would love to share with family and friends. Her favorite restaurant that she enjoyed was Lucky Loggers where she would often meet friends for breakfast or lunch.
Many relatives remember wonderful fond memories of going to Vivian and Norman’s camp at Kennebunk Pond where they would host a fun gathering with swimming, boating and water skiing.
Vivian was very devoted to her catholic faith attending prayer services with the Sisters of Holy Rosary in Old Orchard Beach. She was also an active member of St. Margaret’s Church in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Vivian had a heart of gold with an amazing sense of humor who was loved by all who met her.
Vivian was preceded in death by: her husband, Norman Patterson; and several close cousins who were like siblings to her.
She is survived by: her son, Dwight Patterson of Gorham, Maine; and several cousins and close friends.
There will be no calling hours. A burial service will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford, Maine. on Wednesday, March 15 at 11 a.m. A Memorial Mass in her honor will be held at a later date.
