Gov. Mills beat her Republican opponent by 13 points. The Democrats have a majority in the Maine Legislature. They should pass the budget before April 30.
When the Republicans cry foul, they should be reminded that Republicans rushed the Republican president’s Supreme Court nominations through Senate ratification before the 2020 election but earlier refused to bring the Democratic president’s Supreme Court appointment to the Senate for consideration.
Just as they told the country, Republicans need to be told that Democrats are acting “because we can.”
When it comes to bipartisanship, the Republicans play Lucy and pull the ball out from under the Democrats’ Charlie Brown.
Enough.
