The Finance Authority of Maine celebrated successful business and educational partnerships at its annual meeting and awards event Showcase Maine Nov. 17. MedRhythms Inc. of Portland received the Business at Work for Maine Award; Next Gen Personal Finance, the Education at Work for Maine Award; Ron Milliken, longtime University of Maine director of financial aid, the Dirigo Lifetime Achievement Award; and Camden National Bank, Evergreen Credit Union and Norway Savings Bank, Lender at Work for Maine Awards.
Giving back
UScellular donated $28,150 in wireless hot spots and pledged two years of service to New Hope Midcoast as part of its After School Access Project. New Hope Midcoast, which has a location in Bath, is a domestic violence resource center that provides residential services in the form of transitional housing and rapid re-housing.
