The polling station at South Portland Community Center, Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Anne Carney won the vote for State Senator (District 29) over John Wesley Lewis. Carney received 9,973 votes from South Portland residents and 4,615 from those in Cape Elizabeth, with a total of 14,588. Lewis received 3,109 votes from South Portland and 1,590 from Cape Elizabeth, with a total of 4,699.

Deqa Dhalaq garnered 2,463 votes, beating out Michael Dougherty’s 1,180 in the race for Representative to the Legislature, House District 120, which includes South Portland.

Christopher J. Kessler won 3,600 votes as opposed to Tammy B. Walter’s 1,195 in the race for Representative to the Legislature, House District 121, which includes South Portland and Cape Elizabeth.

Lois Galgay Reckitt received 4,047 votes in an unopposed race for Representative to the Legislature, House District 122, which includes South Portland.

Rebecca J. Millett received 4,462 votes, surpassing Annie Christy’s 1,561, for Representative to the Legislature, House District 123, which includes Cape Elizabeth.

In South Portland, Natalie E. West and Richard T. Matthews won two at-large city councilor seats with 7,115 votes and 6,448 votes, respectively. The third and fourth candidates Steven J. Silver and Brendan K. Williams received 4,264 votes and 3,375 votes, respectively.

Susan W. Rauscher won the District 1 school board seat with 6,426 votes. Candidate Martha A. Riehle received 3,906 votes.

Tandy Ratliff received 9,421 votes in an unopposed race for a District 2 school board seat. Molly Schen received 9,404 votes in an unopposed race for a District 4 school board seat.

In Cape Elizabeth, incumbents Penny Jordan and Caitlin R. Jordan won two town council seats over David Hughes, with 3,836 votes and 3,250 votes, respectively. Hughes won 2,385 votes.

For the school board, Caitlin Sweet and Philip Saucier won the two open seats, with 2,399 votes and 2,371 votes, respectively. The third and fourth candidates, Arienne Hurder and Lawrence Kaplan, received 2,164 votes and 1,917 votes, respectively.
