An incumbent state legislator is facing a challenge in Maine House District 112, which includes parts of Portland and Falmouth.
Democratic Rep. W. Edward Crockett is running to keep his seat. Republican Tammy Ryan is running to unseat him.

Q: What are your three top priorities and why?
• Continue to invest in our children’s future by supporting public education.
• Create more employment opportunities to train and keep our young people in Maine.
• Address homelessness and the urgent need for affordable housing.
Q: What are your biggest concerns about the economy right now and what should the Legislature do to address them?

The high costs of necessities like gas, oil, electricity, groceries, etc. are, as usual, the biggest concerns. The Legislature will continue to monitor and hold those in control of these levers accountable.
Q: Do you support changing Maine’s abortion law to make it more or less restrictive and how?
I support Maine’s current abortion law.
Q: Do you believe President Biden won the 2020 election fairly?
Yes.

As state representative, I would work to lower taxes, reduce high energy costs, stop wasteful spending in Augusta and look for ways to ease the burden on Maine property owners and taxpayers to make Maine affordable for working families. For our small businesses, the backbone of our economy, I would be committed to eliminating unnecessary regulations in order to make it easier to do business in Maine and grow our economy.

I support the current Maine law on abortion.
