Vote Mike Burman for Saco City Council
To the editor,
I would like to encourage my neighbors in Saco’s ward 4 to please consider voting to keep Mike Burman as our representative and advocate on the Saco City Council.
Mike is our current councilor and has served Ward 4 well with his collaborative and intelligent voice of reason. He did not hesitate to assist my neighborhood when we urgently needed guidance earlier this year. The result was the creation of residential energy system guidelines which were previously nonexistent in Saco.
Mike is a busy young professional with a family who shows his dedication to community by his service to Saco on the city council, as a board member of the Michael T. Goulet Foundation and on the Saco Educational Foundation. He cares about preserving Saco’s unique environmental beauty and small-town appeal.
Please vote to keep Mike working for what is best for Ward 4 and all of Saco.
Pam Mohlin
Saco
To the editor,
Mike Burman has proven to be an outstanding city councilor. While I have known Mike as a fellow employee of the University of New England, I have gotten to know him much better over recent years while interacting with him over important Saco city matters and because he has been the council rep to the Saco Conservation Commission. Mike leans into his responsibilities as a city councilor. He works hard to stay abreast of both Ward 4 and all city-wide issues. He is committed to finding ways to improve our city in all ways, including fiscal matters, sound development policies, and environmental protection. Mike well illustrates the adage that “If you want something done, ask a busy person!” I urge all residents of Ward 4 to reelect Mike Burman to City Council. Both your ward and the entire city of Saco will continue to benefit from his deep commitment, energy, and intellect.

Elect David Corbett to represent SD 32
To the editor,
We can trust David Corbett to protect impressionable children over controlling busy-bodies with no business indoctrinating our kids as they do, things age inappropriate which contradicts values of so many families. Dave will stand up for the ‘little guy’ with a beating heart. Dave will protect harvesting of abundant sustainable supply of seafood in our vast North Atlantic waters. Dave would not vote to shut down the legislature and debate to sustain a controversial State of emergency. No more shut downs, facemasks and mandatory experimental vaccines all purported harmful. The individual is not a cosmic accidental infestation on a fragile planet, but special, the purpose of God’s creation. Dave will not ‘roll over’ to those who claim to “own the science.” Astute, he pledges efforts to control spending and lower taxes and electric bills, I believe him. Please vote with me David Corbett State Senate District 32.

Send Lori Gromlich back to Legislature HD 131
To the editor,
It’s not always easy to understand the local impacts of things that happen in the state legislature, but as a taxpayer in Old Orchard Beach and with being recently retired, I’m grateful to Representative Lori Gramlich for consistently voting to restore municipal revenue sharing.
This might not seem like the most glamorous topic, but it has a direct impact on our pocketbooks and the vitality of our town. Municipal revenue sharing means that Old Orchard Beach gets more help from the state to support the essential services that we rely on, while providing property tax relief to taxpayers and providing more funding to support our schools. When all is said and done, this improves the lives of everyone in Old Orchard Beach.
Please join me in thanking Representative Lori Gramlich for voting in support of revenue sharing by voting to send her back to work for us in the legislature this November!

Re-elect Lynn Copeland to HD 130
To the editor,
I have had the privilege of working with Representative Lynn Copeland for the past two years.
Her work for the people of Saco is tireless as she brings the voices and priorities of her neighbors
to the work being done in Augusta. In her first year, she led the crafting of major policy to
mitigate shoreline erosion caused by the construction of the Camp Ellis jetty in 1867. She
quickly brought many players across different governments together to resolve that very difficult
issue.
Her work to engage young people in the work of government, her many hours of volunteer
service at home, and her energy all reflect her love for Saco. Voters there will be well-served to
send her back for another term this November 8 th . I strongly urge the people of Saco to re-elect
Lynn Copeland.

Re-elect Sheriff William King
To the editor,
As a Republican State Legislator, I was on the Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee when I first met Sheriff King several years ago. I have discussed legislation with him and more than once, asked for his input. I witnessed him provide testimony for and against legislation. His testimony was always thoughtful and well received.
He is a fiscal conservative and spends taxpayer monies wisely and has always been cognizant of the impact his spending decisions have on the county budget.
The Sheriff’s position carries much responsibility and I believe Sheriff King has the education, experience and dedication to continue to improve and lead the sheriff’s office. I support the candidate, not a political party and I urge everybody to join me and my family in voting for him this election day.
