LIMERICK — Timothy E. Smith of Limerick, 60, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2022, with his wife and family by his side.
Born in Caribou, he grew up in Portland and Caribou with his parents, the late Dr. Dale Smith and Eva Kelley.
Timothy was a Boy Scout and treasurer and graduate of the Governor Baxter School for the Deaf. He later attended Minnesota Technical Institute where he learned cabinet making in 1983.
He loved to improve his beautiful home and the outdoors, working on crafts and landscaping projects. He was employed as a cabinet maker for R. G. Eaton Woodworking in Westbrook for 32 years and for Pond Cove Millwork in Saco for three years.
Timothy was preceded in death by his parents Dr. Dale Smith and Eva Kelley.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Joan Guay. He is also survived by his four siblings: Melanie Stockholm and husband Eric of Arkansas, Dennis Smith and wife Jane of New Hampshire, Doug Smith and wife Karen of Indiana, and Jeffrey Smith and wife Janice of Brunswick; stepson, Jesse Coron and wife Carrie of Kennebunk; and two grandchildren, Riley and Ethan;as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
