Brian Van Belle pitched seven scoreless innings to lift the Portland Sea Dogs to their seventh straight victory, a 3-1 win over the Binghamton Rumble Ponies on Sunday in Binghamton, New York.

Van Belle (4-1) allowed three hits, struck out five and walked none. Oddanier Mosqueda pitched 1 1/3 innings, allowing one run, and Ryan Fernandez recorded the final two outs to earn his second save of the season.

Portland took the lead on an RBI single by Izzy Wilson in the top of the fourth. Stephen Scott drove in run with a fielder’s choice grounder in the seventh and made it 3-0 with an RBI double in the ninth.

Wilson was 3 for 4 with a double.

The Sea Dogs return to Portland to start a six-game series against the Somerset Patriots at 6 p.m. Tuesday night.
