Zach Johnston pitched a perfect game for his second no-hitter this season as Greely shut out Lake Region 9-0 Monday in baseball in Cumberland.
Johnston struck out 16 for the Rangers (13-1) against the Lakers (4-10) at Cumberland.
Ryan Kolben, who also has two no-hitters this season had an RBI double and Max Cloutier hit a two-run single to lead a seven-run third inning.
FREEPORT 4, YARMOUTH 0: Blaine Cockburn threw his second no-hitter this season, striking out 13 and walking three, as Freeport shut out visiting Yarmouth.
Cockburn also no-hit Wells on April 25.
In addition to his two no-hitters, Cockburn was also part of a combined no-hitter in a 1-0 loss on Friday against Cape Elizabeth.
Robert Landry drove in Freeport’s run in the bottom of the first on a bases-loaded fielder’s choice. An unearned run was added in the fifth, with Nathan Abbott lining a two-run double in the sixth to close out the scoring.
Keegan Shea had a pair of singles for the Falcons (10-3).
The Clippers are 8-6.
MORSE 4, BRUNSWICK 1: Gavin Baillargeon struck out 12 and homered as the Shipbuilders (5-8) beat the Dragons (2-11) in Brunswick.
The Shipbuilders struck late, scoring three runs in the seventh inning to break a 1-1 tie.
The Dragons’ pitcher Sam Masse struck out eight.
THORNTON ACADEMY 7, GORHAM 0: Starter Cody Bowker threw a three-hit shutout and went 2 for 3, scoring twice as the Golden Trojans (12-1) blanked the Rams (8-5) at Gorham.
Jack Cote had a two-run single for Thornton Academy, and Brady Graffam also drove in a run.
Caleb Hendrix had a double for Gorham.
CAPE ELIZABETH 9, WELLS 1: Antonio Dell’Aquilla went 3 for 4 and drove in a pair of runs to lead the Capers (7-6) over the Warriors (5-8) at Cape Elizabeth.
Owen Tighe went 2 for 3, with three RBI for Cape Elizabeth, and Brady Inman added a pair of hits.
FALMOUTH 6, KENNEBUNK 3: Bennett Smith allowed three runs on seven hits, striking out six and had an RBI double as the Navigators (12-1) defeated the Rams (6-6-1) at Kennebunk.
Miles Gay and Patrick Gill each had a pair of hits for Falmouth.
Landon Schwartzman had a pair of hits for Kennebunk, including a two-run blast in the bottom of the third.
YORK 9, POLAND 1: The Wildcats (9-4) used a five-run fourth inning to cruise past the Knights (7-6) in Poland.
The Wildcats’ Brody Gullison had three hits, including a home run, and Hayden Henriksen pitched a complete game, striking out 10 and adding a home run.
Hunter Gibson had two hits for the Knights.
Zach Strand and Joe Neal each doubled for York.
FRYEBURG ACADEMY 5, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: The Raiders (4-10) scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the third and added three in the fifth, on RBI singles from Gunner Saunders, Tom Montango and Cam Johnson, as they blanked the Patriots (4-10) at Fryeburg.
Ethan Lord picked up his first victory of the year, throwing a one-hitter.
