CAPE ELIZABETH – Eleanor “Ellie” Partridge Cobleigh passed away at home on March 6, 2022. Born in Portland in 1929 and raised in Winchester, Mass.

She was a registered nurse and did her training at Melrose Hospital in Melrose, Mass.

Married in September 1951 to Francis “Hank” Cobleigh, she raised her family in Topsfield, Mass. After spending summers at their cottage, they became permanent residents of Maine in 1976. She worked as a RN at The Pineland Center in New Gloucester.

She dreamed of living at “the cottage” in Cape Elizabeth and in 1988 her dream was realized, and they moved permanently to Peabbles Cove.

Ellie was predeceased by her husband, Hank; and one great-grandchild.

She is survived by her sons John, James, and Jeffrey, daughters Jane and Joanne; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
