Falmouth has removed its mask mandate for town buildings regardless of vaccination status. The decision was made in response to the state Centers for Disease Control, which designated Cumberland County’s community transmission level as “medium,” based on lower case rates and hospital admissions.
As of March 7, there were 36,040 confirmed COVID cases in Cumberland County. As of Feb. 27, the most recent date data was available, Falmouth has had 1,625 confirmed cases, according to the state COVID tracker.
The town will continue to monitor COVID cases and CDC guidelines to decide if changes to this are appropriate. Any updates will be available at falmouthme.org.
