PORTLAND – It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce that we lost our beloved Marcus Wayne at the age of 52 to brain cancer on Friday, Feb. 18, 2022. Marcus went peacefully and was surrounded by family and loved ones who will continue to honor him by enjoying life to the fullest and to live in the moment.Marcus was born on Jan. 30, 1970. He is survived by his father Gilbert Wayne, mother Mary Wallace and her husband Denny, sons Nicholas and Julian, sister Tina Gorham and her husband Mike, nieces Megan, Mary and Paige, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be joining his brother, BJ, in heaven.The simplest things in life are what brought Marcus the most joy. He loved to golf, play hockey, watch football, gamble at the racetrack, and most of all spend time with his family.Visitation will be held at Hobbs Funeral Home in South Portland from 1-3 p.m., on Sunday, February 27, followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m. A graveside ceremony will be held at Forest City Cemetery the following morning at 11 a.m.Marcus will be tremendously missed by his entire family and friends.
