Lisha Lynn (Gerrish) Brett

PORTLAND – Lisha Lynn (Gerrish) Brett, 59, passed away on Feb. 13, 2022. Lisha was born in Belfast, Maine to Pamela (North) and Donald L. Gerrish and was educated throughout the Belfast school system.

Lisha had been employed until the time of her death by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Maine as an Operations Manager, for over 20 years.

Lisha’s greatest love was that for her son, Bradley. The two were extremely close and when Lisha married Michael Brett on Oct. 11, 2001, they became part of the large Brett family who welcomed them with all their hearts.

Lisha loved to travel and spend time with family and friends. Whether it was on one of her many trips with the Brett family on cruises or to Disney World, or her very favorite, Oxford Casino. From pool parties and backyard BBQ’s, on the Lanai in Westbrook, crafting get togethers or on her favorite trip, when she and Michael visited Hawaii for their 10th Wedding Anniversary, Lisha loved life.

During the past few years, Lisha took on the role of caregiver and from her mother and in-laws to her nieces and loved ones, Lisha made sure she personally helped everyone in her loving and caring way.

Lisha was predeceased by her mother, father and son, Bradley C. Ginn. Lisha is survived by her husband, Michael and their 2 fur babies, Izzy and Halen – whom she adored, and her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Cathy Gerrish and niece Cassidy, of Freedom, as well as several extended family members. Lisha is further survived by her father-in-law, Ralph N. Brett of Biddeford; brother’s-in-law and sister’s-in-law, Ralph Jr. and Debbie Brett of Westbrook, Peter and Anne-Marie Brett of Scarborough, brother-in-law Steven Brett of Portland; and her three devoted nieces, Katelyn (Tyler) DeBardino of Scarborough, and Courtney and Amanda Brett of Portland.

A Celebration of Lisha’s life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home, 660 Brighton Ave. Portland, ME.
