FREEPORT — Julius Silva knocked down six 3-pointers and finished with 22 points as 11th-seeded Biddeford upset sixth-seeded Freeport 55-54 Tuesday night in a Class A South boys’ basketball prelim.
Ayouba Fofana had 17 points for Biddeford (4-14), with Kyle Dion chipping in with 12.
Blaine Cockburn had 15 points to lead Freeport (9-9), and Colby Arsenault added 11.
BRUNSWICK 66, KENNEBUNK 58: Quinten McCaffrey had eight of his 27 points in the fourth quarter as the 10th-seeded Dragons (6-12) closed on a 19-14 run and knocked off the seventh-seeded Rams (11-7) in a Class A South prelim at Kennebunk.
Ethan Driscoll had 16 points, going 6 for 6 at the line, for Brunswick, and Trevor Gerrish scored 10 points.
Joseph Kiezulas led Kennebunk with 19 points, and Keegan Andrews chipped in with 14 and Landon Schwartzman added 13.
WESTBROOK 56, MORSE 36: Ben Eugley and Tyler Hethcoat each scored 13 points as the No. 9 Blazes earned the Class A South prelim win in Bath.
Aiden Taylor added 10 points for Westbrook (8-11).
Gabe Aucoin scored 12 points to lead Morse (7-11).
YARMOUTH 56, LINCOLN ACADEMY 16: Matt Waeldner scored 23 points with seven 3-poiners as the second-seeded Clippers (16-3) raced by the 13th-seed Eagles (4-13) in a Class B South prelim at Yarmouth
Peter Psyhogeos added 15 points for Yarmouth.
Gabe Hagar led Lincoln Academy with six points.
MEDOMAK VALLEY 79, OAK HILL 43: Trevor Brown’s 22 points and eight rebounds led the fourth-seeded Panthers (15-4) over the 13th-seeded Raiders (8-9) in Waldoboro in a Class B South prelim.
Jake Bickmore had 12 points for Medomak. Patrick McKenny had 11 points and six assists and Kory Donlan added 10 points and six steals. Blake Morrison scored 10 points.
Oak Hill’s Silas Dumont scored eight points. Jackson Arbour and Tiger Hopkins both finished with seven.
LISBON 73; POLAND 48: Levi Tibbett scored 26 points as the fifth-seeded Greyhounds (15-3) beat the No. 12 Knights (6-13) at Lisbon in a Class B South prelim.
Lisbon lead 32-22 at halftime, then pulled away with a 20-8 advantage in the third quarter.
Caden Boone added 16 points for Lisbon.
Hunter Gibson led Poland with 21.
YORK 66, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 33: Will Bourgeois scored 18 points with 13 rebounds as the third-seeded Wildcats (12-2) doubled-up the the 14th-seeded Falcons (6-12) in a Class B South prelim in York.
JP Frazier and Trevor Parker each finished with 12 points, and Kevin Burke added 10 points with eight rebounds. Jacob Fogg had eight points and six assists for York, which outscored the Falcons 18-4 in the second quarter for a 34-16 halftime lead.
Airick RIchard and Zach New each had 14 points for Mountain Valley.
SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 64, TEMPLE ACADEMY 33: The eighth-seeded Guardians (5-13) jumped to a 19-3 lead after one quarter and stretched it to 40-18 at halftime as they defeated the No. 9 Bereans (1-15) in a Class D prelim at South Berwick.
Isaiah Cardinal had 17 points to lead Seacoast Christian, and Dan Poirier and Seth Vega put in 14 apiece.
Peyton Reckards led Temple Academy with eight points.
