STONY BROOK, N.Y. — Anne Simon had a double-double as the University of Maine women’s basketball team beat Stony Brook 61-55 on Saturday to earn its seventh straight win.

Simon finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds for the Black Bears, who improved to 13-10, 10-3 in the America East Conference. Alba Orois added 16 points, while Caroline Bornemann had 12 points and eight rebounds.

Anastasia Warren had 13 points, Earlette Scott 12 and Gigi Gonzalez 11 for Stony Brook (20-3, 11-2).

UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND 61, ROGER WILLIAMS 57: The Nor’easters (15-8, 13-3 CCC) handed the Falcons (20-2, 15-1) their first conference loss by outscoring them 8-4 in overtime in Bristol, Rhode Island.

Allie Goodman had 18 points and nine rebounds for UNE. Abby Cavallaro added 15 points and Kaylee Beyor had 12.

Katie Galligan scored 20 points for Roger Williams, including a pair of foul shots with six seconds left to force overtime.

EASTERN CONNECTICUT 73, SOUTHERN MAINE 63: The Warriors (15-8, 12-2 LEC) outscored the Huskies (5-14, 5-6) 17-7 in the second overtime to earn a win in Willimantic, Connectict.

Southern Maine forced overtime when Jackie Luckhardt hit a 3-pointer with four seconds left. Julie Keckler then hit a 3-pointer with 32 seconds left in the first overtime for Eastern Connecticut to force the second overtime.

Luckhardt finished with 19 points for the Huskies. Franny Ramsdell added 10.

Anna Berry had 18 points, Danielle O’Brien 17 and Keckler 15 for Eastern Connecticut.

ST. JOSEPH’S 94, JOHNSON & WALES 53: Angelica Hurley scored 24 points as the Monks (18-4, 12-2 GNAC) cruised to a win over the Wildcats (2-17, 2-11) in Providence, Rhode Island.

Cassandra Stapelfeld added 19 points and Kaleigh Walsh had 14 for St. Joseph’s.

MIDDLEBURY 63, BATES 55: Alexa Mustafaj scored 20 points as the Panthers (11-9) beat the Bobcats (14-5) in Middlebury, Vermont.

Brianna Gadaleta had 20 points and 11 rebounds for Bates College. Mia Roy added 16 points while Meghan Graff had 15 points, eight rebounds and four steals.

COLBY 76, UM-FORT KENT 40: Keagan Dunbar scored 20 points to power the Mules (11-9, 2-8 NESCAC) past the Bengals (2-15, 1-0) in Waterville.

Chiamaka Ubani had 13 points, eight rebounds and five steals. Carter McGloon added 10 points,.

Hannah Jones and Arieyle Baker scored 11 points each for Fort Kent.

MIDDLEBURY 69, BATES 52: Alex Sobel had 20 points and 11 rebounds, Sam Stevens scored 14 points, and David Brennan added 11 points and 12 rebounds as the Panthers (17-4, 7-2 NESCAC) used a 39-23 second half to pull away from the Bobcats (9-10, 2-7) in Lewiston.

Stephon Baxter scored 19 points for Bates. Jahmir Primer added 13 points.

JOHNSON & WALES 73, ST. JOSEPH’S 60: Josh Zangerle scored 25 points, Bobby Fiorito had 17 points, and Bryan Davis added 12 points and 13 rebounds as the Wildcats (9-10, 7-6 GNAC) rolled past the Monks (7-15, 6-8) at Providence, Rhode Island.

Griffin Foley scored 14 points for St. Joseph’s. Nicholas Curtis had 11.

SOUTHERN MAINE CC 81, VERMONT TECH 67: Zachary Mickle scored 25 points, while Cameren Cousins had 13 points and 10 rebounds to lift the Seawolves (16-5, 3-1 YSCC) past the Knights (7-20, 6-8) in Randolph, Vermont.

UMASS 4, UMAINE 1: The Minutemen (16-9-2, 11-5-2 Hockey East) scored three times in the first period and held on to beat the Black Bears (5-17-4, 3-13-2) in Amherst, Massachusetts.

Garrett Wait, Josh Lopina and Eric Faith scored in the first 11 minutes of the game to give UMass a 3-0 lead. Donavan Villenueve-Houle and Adrien Bisson scored before the end of the period to get Maine within one. Wait then added an insurance goal in the third.

BOWDOIN 4, WESLEYAN 1: Chris Brown had a hat trick as the Polar Bears (6-9-4, 6-7-3 NESCAC) beat the Cardinals (10-9-3, 8-5-3) in Middletown, Connecticut.

Joe Alexander also scored for Bowdoin, while Alex Kozic had 30 saves.

Matt Zandi scored and Erik Voloshin had 24 saves for Wesleyan.

Ryan Kuzmich scored in the first period to tie it for UNE. Daniel Winslow scored less than two minutes later to give the Nor’easters the lead and Jimmy Esler scored 51 seconds into the second period to make it 3-1.

TRINITY 2, COLBY 1: Alexander Mozian and John Campomenosi scored as the Bantams (12-7-1, 10-5-1 NESCAC) beat the Mules (12-4-2, 9-3-2) in Hartford, Connecticut.

Jorden Mattison had 46 saves for Maine, while Aerin Frankel had 14 stops for Northeastern.

SOUTHERN MAINE 4, SALEM STATE 0: Georgie Snow, Brianna Doty and Shannon Douglas each had a goal and an assist as the Huskies (15-9, 12-6 LEC) beat the Vikings (5-19, 2-16) in Salem, Massachusetts.

Rylie Binette also scored for Southern Maine, while Maddy Young, Kate Colvin, Shannon Colbert and Julianne Nelson each had one assist.

UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND 3, CURRY 1: Meghan Hamilton scored twice in the second period to give the Nor’easters (8-10-2, 8-6-2 CCC) the lead in their win over the Colonels (3-19-1, 1-14-1) in Biddeford.
