Thomas Memorial Library in Cape Elizabeth and the South Portland and Scarborough public libraries will hold a Community Read Book Talk via Zoom at 7 p.m. Feb. 15 featuring author Gene Weingarten.
This year’s Community Read book is Weingarten’s “One Day: The Extraordinary Story of an Ordinary 24 Hours in America.” The Pulitzer Prize winning writer examines the events of a Dec. 28, 1986, a date decided on when he asked three strangers to pull a day, month and year from a hat. Weingarten then delved into events of that day across America.
