Scarborough scored the game’s first 13 points, then hit free throws down the stretch to beat host Cheverus, 51-42, in a boys’ basketball contest Monday night.
The Red Storm (3-13) held the Stags (7-9) scoreless in the first quarter, but Cheverus pulled within 20-12 at halftime and 37-31 after three quarters, then cut the deficit to two on multiple occasions in the fourth quarter.
Scarborough got 20 points from Rowan MacDonald.
Silvano Ismail paced Cheverus with 20 points.
FALMOUTH 66, WESTBROOK 54: Jack Stowell scored 24 points as the Navigators (14-2) defeated the Blue Blazes (6-9) at Falmouth.
Judd Armstrong and Brady Coyne added 15 points apiece.
Braden Pierce and Tyler Hethcoat each scored 12 points for Westbrook.
CAPE ELIZABETH 90, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 59: Will Bowe scored 27 points, Jake Frame made six of his team’s 15 3-pointers, and the Capers (11-7) rolled past the Seagulls (10-6) at Cape Elizabeth.
Frame finished with 18 points. Eight players sank at least one 3-pointer for the Capers.
OOB was paced by Landen Johnson with 22 points and Brady Croteau with 21.
GREELY 50, FREEPORT 44: Andrew St. Hilaire scored 18 points, and the Rangers (9-7) jumped out to a 19-8 first-quarter lead and held off the Falcons (9-7) at Freeport.
Timothy Walker and Dee Martin Coyne chipped in with nine points apiece.
Blaine Cockburn scored 15 points for Freeport.
YORK 86, TRAIP ACADEMY 41: Trevor Parker and Will Bourgeois scored 21 points apiece as the Wildcats (11-2) rolled past the Rangers (6-11) at York.
Kevin Burke had 14 points and 10 rebounds. Bourgeois also grabbed 11 rebounds.
David Durling scored nine points for Traip.
SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 33, PINE TREE ACADEMY 26: Sunny Johnson recorded a triple-double with 15 points, 14 rebounds and 10 steals as the Guardians (4-11) beat the Breakers (6-10) in Eliot.
Isaiah Cardinal grabbed 15 rebounds for Seacoast.
Alden Thacker led Pine Tree with 11 points.
MORSE 41, MT. BLUE 38: Gabe Aucoin scored 18 points and Sawyer Stead added 11 for the Shipbuilders (6-8) in a victory over the Cougars (7-9) in Bath.
Morse jumped out to 27-16 halftime lead.
Chandler Briggs and Evans Sterling each scored 10 points for Mt. Blue.
