On Jan. 19, Sen. Susan Collins complained that the Voting Rights Acts had too many pages. Wouldn’t it have made more sense for her to discuss what was in those pages? She then might have seen that those pages were necessary to thwart the varied Republican efforts throughout the country that were attempting to make voting more difficult, especially more difficult for those who tend to vote for GOP opponents.
Please write to Senator Collins and tell her that you have confidence in her ability to read and understand a bill that contains many pages, particularly when that bill will protect our citizens from those who are seeking only to maintain their power to the detriment of our democracy.
