FALMOUTH — Brady Coyne’s layup just before the buzzer capped Falmouth’s comeback from a 13-point fourth-quarter deficit Friday night in a 73-71 boys’ basketball win over Thornton Academy.

Coyne finished with 31 points and Jack Stowell scored 21 for the Navigators (9-2).

William Davies scored 19 points and Aleesio Marcus had 16 for Thornton (9-4).

SOUTH PORTLAND 56, BONNY EAGLE 47: JP Estrella scored 20 points and Jaelen Jackson had 18 as the Red Riots (14-1) defeated the Scots (6-6) at South Portland.

Eliot Bouchard scored 22 points for Bonny Eagle. Terrell Edwards chipped in with 10.

GREELY 51, YARMOUTH 41: Greely (7-5) was 14 of 17 from the free-throw line and avenged an earlier loss by defeating Yarmouth (12-2) at Cumberland.

Andrew St. Hilaire made 7 of 8 free throws and finished with 20 points for the Rangers, who led 28-16 at halftime. Timothy Walker added 13 points.

Matt Waeldner led Yarmouth with 15 points.

KENNEBUNK 68, MARSHWOOD 63: Keegan Andrews hit three 3-pointers in the fourth quarter, including a go-ahead basket immediately after Marshwood took its first lead since the first quarter, and the Rams (7-5) held on for a win over the Hawks (8-4) in South Berwick.

Andrews finished with 16 points, Ty Kane had 15, Connor Keefe 14 and Joseph Kiezulas 10 for Kennebunk.

Marshwood was paced by Andrew Perry with 22 points, Aidan Sullivan with 19 and Jason Singer with 10.

PORTLAND 49, BANGOR 44: Spencer Cross scored 24 points to help the Bulldogs (9-5) hold off the Rams (5-7) at Portland.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 75, LAKE REGION 65: Nate Hebert and Jay Hawkes each scored 15 points for the Patriots (10-5) in a win over the Lakers (8-6) in Gray.

Michael Ryan Jr. and Maxwell Kenny chipped in with 11 points apiece.

Jacob Stone poured in 30 points for Lake Region. Jackson Libby scored 13 and Jacob Chadbourne had 11.

FREEPORT 45, WAYNFLETE 38: Colby Arsenault scored 12 points and Blaine Cockburn added 11 as the Falcons (8-5) downed the Flyers (5-7) at Portland.

Freeport opened a 24-7 halftime lead, enough to withstand a second-half surge by the Flyers that was keyed by pressure defense.

Henry Hart scored 18 points and Nico Kirby had 10 for Waynflete.

POLAND 64, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 58: Hunter Gibson scored 30 points, including 12 free throws, to help the Knights (6-8) pull away from a halftime tie and defeat NYA (6-6) at Poland.

Poland used a 21-15 advantage in the third quarter to take a 44-38 lead.

Hayden Christener added 13 points for Poland. Logan Welch led the Panthers with 16.

EDWARD LITTLE 65, SCARBOROUGH 39: John Shea scored 19 points, including the 1,000th of his career, as the Red Eddies (11-2) beat the Red Storm (1-11) in Auburn.

LEWISTON 59, CHEVERUS 50: Lewiston (10-4) grabbed a 29-26 halftime and held off the Stags (6-5) in Portland.

Eli Bigelow and David Omasombo each had 12 points, and Caed Langley and Yusuf Dakane scored 10 apiece for the Blue Devils.

Seth Huntington scored 20 points for Cheverus, including five 3-pointers.

HAMPDEN ACADEMY 69, WINDHAM 48: Zach McLaughlin had 26 points to lead the Broncos (2-10) over the Eagles (2-10) in Windham.

Hampden also got 18 points from Landon Gabric and 16 from J.J. Wolfington.

Will Mannette scored 21 points and Nick Garrison had 10 points for Windham.

PINE TREE ACADEMY 55, TEMPLE ACADEMY 26: Alden Thacker scored 32 points to lead the Breakers (4-8) past the Bereans (1-10) in Freeport.

Ben Ndamukunda chipped in with 13 points.

LISBON 65, BOOTHBAY 40: Levi Tibbetts scored 15 of his 17 points in the first half as the Greyhounds (10-2) jumped out to a 42-24 lead against the Seahawks (4-9) in Lisbon Falls.

Caden Boone added 13 points and Chase Mailhot had 10 for Lisbon.

Gryffin Kristan paced Boothbay with seven points.

NOKOMIS 67, GARDINER 47: Freshman standout Cooper Flagg scored 33 points as the Warriors (13-1) defeated the Tigers (3-7) in Gardiner.

BIDDEFORD 59, BRUNSWICK 48: Thomas Harvey, Trevor Gerrish and Quin McCaffrey combined for 51 points, and the Dragons (3-9) prevailed against the visiting Tigers (3-8) despite 32 points by Biddeford’s Ayouba Fofana.

Harvey had 18 points and six assists, Gerrish scored 17, and McCaffrey finished with 16 points and six assists.
