WELLS — Grace Ramsdell scored 30 points, including a late 3-pointer than gave her 1,000 for her career, as Wells beat North Yarmouth Academy 62-35 Tuesday night in a matchup of unbeaten girls’ basketball teams.
Point guard Grace Boucher, who has been Ramsdell’s friend since early elementary school, consistently gave up her own scoring to pass to Ramsdell, making sure she assisted on the milestone basket.
Wells (7-0) led 12-7 after the first quarter, then extended it to 31-16 at halftime and 49-23 through three quarters.
Angel Huntsman led the Panthers (5-1) with 13 points.
GREELY 67, FALMOUTH 53: Greely (6-2) opened an 11-point lead in the first quarter, survived a comeback, then pulled away in the second half to defeat the Navigators (3-2) at Falmouth.
Chelsea Graiver led the Rangers with 27 points, including eight free throws. Kaiyla Delisle added 19 points for Greely, which used a 35-28 advantage in the second half to clinch it.
Katie Lozoraitis led Falmouth with 17 points. Sloane Ginevan and Emily Abbott each added 12.
CHEVERUS 60, DEERING 47: Emma Lizotte scored 28 points and had 14 rebounds, including 10 points in the first quarter, to power the host Stags (6-0) past the Rams (0-8).
Lillian Singleton chipped in with 19 points and four steals.
Maya Gayle scored 23 points for Deering. Ella McGowan added 12.
MT. ARARAT 40, FREEPORT 25: Morgan Ruff scored 16 points and Elsa Daulerio added 15 points for the Eagles (7-2), who pulled away from the Falcons (3-5) in the second half in Topsham.
Mason Baker-Schlendering led Freeport with eight points, followed by Isabelle Orlando and Angel Pillsbury with five apiece.
The Eagles outscored the Falcons 24-12 in the second half.
SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 35, PINE TREE ACADEMY 13: Breckyn Winship had 16 points, along with nine boards and seven steals, to pace the Guardians (2-3) over the Breakers (3-3) at Eliot.
Leela Hilton had 12 points for Seacoast Christian, and Kaitlyn Jandreau added seven points and nine steals.
Anna Marden had five points for Pine Tree Academy.
GORHAM 57, SOUTH PORTLAND 48: Brylee Bishop scored 20 points as the Rams (8-0) cruised past the Red Riots (2-7) at South Portland.
Ellie Gay scored 12 points. Anna Nelson added 11.
Ruth Boles scored 17 points for South Portland.
THORNTON ACADEMY 61, PORTLAND 44: Hannah Cook scored 16 points as the Trojans (6-3) handled the Bulldogs (1-7) in Saco.
Jess Dow and Mikenzie Melendez each had 13 points for Thornton. Liz Yugu had 24 points for Portland.
MESSALONSKEE 44, CAMDEN HILLS 27: Brennan Doran had 12 points, 13 rebounds and four blocked shots to power the Eagles (3-7) to a win at Oakland.
Ashley Mullen led the Eagles with 14 points and Keira Goldsmith had six assists.
Matalin Luce scored 10 points to lead Camden Hills (0-7).
OCEANSIDE 64, MCI 42: Audrey Mackie scored 22 points and Abby Watermanadded 14 to lead the Mariners (9-0) over the Huskies (3-6) at Pittsfield.
Anna Dospelova scored 15 points and Natalie Sites added 12 to lead the Huskies.
OLD ORCHARD BEACH 47, MARANACOOK 27: Elise MacNair scored 16 points and the Seagulls (9-0) held the Black Bears (4-4) to single digits in each of the final three quarters in a win at Old Orchard Beach.
Sarah Davis had 14 points, including three 3-pointers, and Abby Roy finished with 10 points for the Seagulls, who outscored the Black Bears 40-15 after the first quarter.
Allie Labelle had eight points, and Grace Dwyer and Kaleight Kubicki each had six points for Maranacook.
