FREEPORT — Colby Arsenault scored 25 points to lead the Freeport boys basketball team to a 79-56 win over Poland on Saturday.
J.T. Pound chipped in with 15 points for the Falcons (4-2), while Blaine Cockburn had 14.
Hunter Gibson led the Knights (3-4) with 27 points.
BIDDEFORD 64, BRUNSWICK 57: Ayouba Fofana scored 22 points as the Tigers beat the Dragons in Biddeford.
Julius Silva added 13 points and Jacob Landry finished with 11 for Biddeford (3-6).
Thomas Harvey led Brunswick (2-6) with 16 points, followed by Quinten McCaffrey with five 3-pointers for 15 points and Trevor Gerrish with 14 points.
FOREST HILLS 78, RICHMOND 43: Mason Desjardins had 39 points, 10 rebounds and five steals to lead the Tigers to a win over the Bobcats in an East/West game in Jackman.
Cooper Daigle scored 11 points, while Jackman Daigle added eight points for Forest Hills (9-0).
Connor Vachon led Richmond (2-4) with 13 points.
MOUNTAIN VALLEY 89, WISCASSET 18: Zach New led an offense that included 12 scorers for the Falcons (4-3) in a Mountain Valley Conference win over the Wolverines (0-7) in Rumford.
New finished with 20 points. Airick Richard added 11, Colby Frisbie contributed 10 and Brayden Duguay and Tucker Laramee each finished with eight.
Nate Shutte led Wiscasset with 13 points, including three 3-pointers.
MONMOUTH ACADEMY 63, BOOTHBAY 52: The Mustangs (5-3) pulled away from the Seahawks (2-3) with a strong third quarter on both ends of the floor during a Mountain Valley Conference matchup in Monmouth.
Monmouth trailed at halftime, 29-25, after being outscored 16-8 in the second period. Led by three 3-pointers from Sammy Calder, along with five free throws by Hunter Frost and five points by Manny Calder, the Mustangs put up 23 points in the third while holding Boothbay to six, thereby turning the four-point deficit into a 48-35 advantage.
Sammy Calder led all scorers with 19 points, while Manny Calder finished with 14. The Calders combined to make seven 3-pointers. Frost added 12 points and Gavin Willett scored 11 for Monmouth.
ISLESBORO 49, PINE TREE ACADEMY 39: Dylan Frank scored 21 points for the Eagles (3-1) in a win over the Breakers (0-5) at Freeport.
Charlie Jagger added eight points.
Alden Thacker led Pine Tree with 14 points. Silas Yeaton had 10.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
BRUNSWICK 63, BIDDEFORD 33: Logan Brown scored 19 points and seven steals to lead the Dragons to a win over the Tigers in Brunswick.
Emily Doring had nine points, while Kelsey Sullivan had eight points and 11 rebounds for Brunswick (6-0). Morgan Foster had seven points, six assists and eight steals.
Hannah Smith led Biddeford (2-7) with 11 points. Hannah Gosselin added 10 points.
MOUNTAIN VALLEY 53, WISCASSET 31: Autumn Freeman led the Falcons (6-1) with 18 points in a win over the Wolverines (1-2) at Wiscasset.
Emma Clukey added seven points.
Bella Orr scored 17 points for Wiscasset.
BOYS HOCKEY
SOUTH PORTLAND/FREEPORT/WAYNFLETE 7, MARSHWOOD/TRAIP/SANFORD/NOBLE 1: Cullen Adams had two goals and two assists, and Jasper Curtis stopped 31 shots as South Portland/Freeport/Waynflete (5-1) handled Marshwood/Traip/Sanford/Noble (2-4) in Portland.
Brady Frank and Dylan Hannan each recorded a goal and two assists, Tobey Lappin had a goal and an assist, and Ian Write and Cam Morrill also scored for South Portland.
Caden Fontaine scored and Sumner Wood made 35 saves for Marshwood.
