CAPE ELIZABETH — Esme Song singled home Clara Parker with two outs in the bottom of the seventh as second-seeded Cape Elizabeth escaped with a 1-0 win over sixth-seeded Medomak Valley in a Class B South softball semifinal Saturday.
Parker lined a single with one out in the seventh, then reached third on a sacrifice bunt by Dana Schwartz before Song ended it with a blooper to right.
Cape’s Anna Cornell struck out 13 while pitching a seven-hitter. Madi Boynton allowed five hits and struck out six for the Panthers (13-6).
Parker and Song each had two hits, while Emily Harris and Eliza Spear got two hits apiece for Medomak Valley.
The Capers (19-0) advance to face No. 1 Fryeburg Academy in the regional final Wednesday at St. Joseph’s College.
FRYEBURG ACADEMY 6, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 3: Camden Jones went 3 for 4 and fueled a three-run rally in the fifth inning with a home run, leading the top-seeded Raiders (14-3) past the fifth-seeded Patriots (14-5) in a Class B South semifinal in Fryeburg.
Ela Bruno’s two-run single in the third inning gave Fryeburg a 2-0 lead. Gray-New Gloucester tied it with runs in the fourth and fifth before the Raiders went ahead for good in the bottom of the fifth.
Gray-New Gloucester got three hits from Morgan Curtis and two from Anna Gilbert.
ST. DOMINIC 8, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 7: Sydney Dick hit into a fielder’s choice to drive home Bella Perryman with the winning run in the ninth inning as the sixth-seeded Saints (7-9) beat the seventh-seeded Panthers (9-10) in a Class D South semifinal Auburn.
North Yarmouth Academy forced extra innings with a run in the seventh that tied the game at 5-5. The Panthers tacked on two more runs in the top of the ninth for a 7-5 lead.
NYA led 4-1 until St. Dom’s scored four runs in the fifth, highlighted by a Perryman home run.
BANGOR 8, BRUNSWICK 4: Lane Barron struck out nine and hit an RBI single to lead the eighth-seeded Rams (10-9) to a Class A North semifinal win over the fourth-seeded Dragons (13-6) in Brunswick.
Taylor Coombs had a two-run double for Bangor, which will play for the regional title Tuesday in Augusta against No. 2 Skowhegan.
Brunswick’s Kelsey Sullivan drove in three runs with a pair of doubles. Sophia Morin added an RBI single.
Acadia Gee led NYA with three hits. Jasmine Huntsman added a single and a double.

FREEPORT 18, ST. DOMINIC 9: Savannah Tracy and Meredith Feller each scored four goals to lead the top-seeded Falcons (10-3) over the eighth-seeded Saints (6-8) in a Class C quarterfinal in Freeport.
Kate Tracy added three goals and four assists, Megan Driscoll had three goals and an assist, and Hannah Groves finished with two goals and an assist. Ellie Whittier and Myah Jensen also scored and Piper Williams made three saves for Freeport, which will host a semifinal Wednesday against No. 4 Lake Region.
Isabella Pelletier and Taryn Cloutier each had four goals and Natalie Russell stopped 12 shots for St. Dom’s.
YARMOUTH 17, CAPE ELIZABETH 4: Freshman Aine Powers scored five first-half goals as the top-ranked Clippers (12-1) defeated No. 9 Cape Elizabeth (4-10) in a Class B quarterfinal in Yarmouth.
The Clippers (12-1) took the lead for good on a goal from Katelyn D’Appolonia, then Natalie Teare and Powers added goals for a quick 3-0 lead. By halftime, Yarmouth was ahead 13-2, and a mercy-rule running clock was in effect for the entire second half.
D’Appolonia finished with four goals, Anna Thornton had three, and Annie Bergeron and Teare each got two goals and two assists. Annie Lowenstein got the other goal. Yarmouth goalie Juliet Meas made six saves.
Cape Elizabeth, the two-time reigning Class B champion, got goals from Charlotte Graham, Hannah Johnson, Claire McDonald and Laura Ryer and five saves from Elise Branch.
LAKE REGION 11, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 10: Katie Keenan scored three goals as the fourth-seeded Lakers (8-5) edged the fifth-seeded Panthers (6-6) in a Class C quarterfinal in Naples.
Mackenzie Siebert, Brianna Sargent and Rebecca Caron each added two goals and Gwen Gagnon made nine saves for the Lakers.
Maggie Hill led NYA with four goals and an assist. Emma Sharpe scored three goals.
WAYNFLETE 11, WELLS 2: CeCe Bliss and Kilee Sherry each scored four goals to lead the third-seeded Flyers (8-5) past the sixth-seeded Warriors (5-7) in a Class C quarterfinal in Portland.
Jess Connors finished with two goals and four assists. Lolie Millspaugh also scored for Waynflete.
Wells got goals from Anna Woodward and Ruby McMinis and 11 saves from Mollie Humphrey.
YORK 10, CAMDEN HILLS 4: Rose Pavuk scored three goals and set up another as the fourth-seeded Wildcats beat No. 5 Camden Hills in a Class B quarterfinal at York.
Carly Mitchell chipped in with two goals. Clara Pavuk had a goal and two assists.
