Zack Barowitz is the ideal candidate for Portland’s Charter Commission in District 3. Zack has been a tremendous asset to the district, with a proven record of accomplishments. This includes promoting housing affordability, safer streets and creating community amenities like the community garden.
Zack offers a refreshing set of proposals for the commission. This includes creating community boards and more City Council districts to improve citizen participation in decision-making processes. Our hope is that this process will make the city more democratic and responsive to resident needs, especially for working families like ours.
Recent events highlight how Zack’s personal qualities will make him a great commissioner. He handles challenging situations with dignity and grace. Through his efforts, he has earned the trust of people across the political spectrum and in all walks of life.
