Maine’s troubadours of holler-folk, The Ghost of Paul Revere, had their travel plans sidelined by the pandemic, but still put out an album in August called “Good At Losing Everything.”
A week ago, they released a video for one of the tracks that’s upper-level adorable. The song is “Travel On,” and the video is a re-creation of a scene from the 1979 “The Muppet Movie.” In the original, Kermit and Fozzie are in Fozzie’s 1951 Studebaker and bust out in song with “Movin’ Right Along,” featuring the frog on banjo and an actual fork in the road. The song and scene are pure sunshine and The Ghost of Paul Revere have paid tremendous homage to it with their new video.
We suggest you watch the original clip first as it will add to your appreciation of what the band has done.

And now be ready to smile wide during every moment of “Travel On” by The Ghost Of Paul Revere. There are many hilarious and sweet-as-pie moments, but seeing singer Griffin Sherry wearing a replica of Fozzie’s scarf might be the sweetest. You’ll see the band tooling around Portland and other spots in Maine in their tour van, one they can’t wait to drive across the country in, playing shows and festivals once we’re out of the pandemic.
