Tune-Yards: Party in a Can Livestream
9 p.m. Wednesday, April 28. Livestream presented by State Theatre, $15. statetheatreportland.com
Tune-Yards is the musical endeavor of Merrill Garbus and her bass playing collaborator Nate Brenner. They’re celebrating the release of the album “Sketchy” (their sixth) with a live show from their home studio in California. The music of Tune-Yards is a kaleidoscopic trip of wild, arty pop and fantastical electronica romps, and they’ll be playing both old and new songs during the show. Stick around when it ends for a post-performance Q&A with the band.
