CUMBERLAND — Greely took control by allowing only three points in the third quarter Friday night on the way to a 70-60 boys’ basketball win over Cape Elizabeth.
Luke Gabloff led Greely (1-4) with 18 points, including nine in the fourth quarter. Tim Walker chipped in with 17, while Max Cloutier tossed in 14.
Greely turned a 35-31 halftime lead into a 49-34 advantage after three quarters.
Nate Mullen and Dylan Swift each scored 20 points for Cape Elizabeth (3-3).
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
GREELY 60, CAPE ELIZABETH 42: Camille Clement scored 14 first-quarter points, draining four of her five 3-pointers, as the Rangers (3-1) flew out to a 19-8 advantage in a win over Capers (1-3) at Cape Elizabeth.
Clement finished with 23 points, Chelsea Gravier tossed in 14 and Mollie Obar added 12.
Alison Gerety led Cape Elizabeth with 13 points.
SACOPEE VALLEY 46, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 34: Jalyn Stacey scored 25 points to pace the Hawks (3-3) to a win over the Raiders (0-5) in Hiram.
Kylie Day added 16 points.
Brooke Emery led Fryeburg with 14 points.
GARDINER 50, MORSE 29: Lizzy Gruber had 12 points and 12 rebounds to pace the Tigers (10-2) past the Shipbuilders (1-8) in Gardiner.
Kassidy Collins added 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Maddy Werner led Morse with 13 points.
GIRLS’ HOCKEY
LEWISTON 5, EDWARD LITTLE 1: Rebecca Lussier broke a 1-1 tie early in the second period, and the Blue Devils (5-1-1) scored four consecutive goals to cruise past Edward Little/Leavitt/Poland (1-4) at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee.
Leah Dube collected two goals, and Charlotte Cloutier and Madison Conley also scored for Lewiston.
Caroline Tracey got a second-period goal for the Red Hornets.
