Sunday’s storm wrapped up with most reported snow totals in the 1-4″ range. Not a block buster storm, by any stretch, but enough to leave impacts.

Slick roads are expected leading into Monday morning.

By the afternoon, a mix of sun and clouds will push temperatures into the mid to upper 20s. Some coastal areas have a shot at 30.

Snow will melt a little bit and freeze overnight.

With new moisture and plenty of cold, expect some black ice in the morning Tuesday.

Clouds will steadily increase Tuesday evening. High temperatures top out in the 20s.

Overnight, moisture runs into the cold, bringing a threat for light snow. Right now, I’d expect it to be about 1-3″ for most.

Some lingering flurries likely last into Wednesday morning. Clouds will help keep it a bit warmer overnight, with lows staying in the teens.

The afternoon will feature more sunshine. Temperatures again stay below average, with most in the 20s.

It’ll be frigid to start the day on Thursday. It’s tough to call it exactly this far out, but I suspect there will be a few more spots that actually end below zero.

Big improvements are expected later, with sunshine bringing temperatures back into the mid 20s.

By Friday, there will be another storm system brewing in the middle of the country.

If it tracks similar to the last storm, we could get grazed and get another coating of snow.

I’d watch this one closely, though. It looks a little more powerful than Tuesday’s storm and, should it move north at all, could end up bringing higher snow totals.

If it misses, the next day to watch is Sunday. The cold looks like it will linger for at least the next week.
