On May 21, the 400 band students from Cape Elizabeth Schools, grades five through 12, played music out on their front lawns or porches, called “Porch Fest,” said Mike Scarpone, high school band director. The district’s music teachers drove through neighborhoods to watch their students play from a distance. From left, Jack Sands on euphonium, Zach Merrill on trombone, and Ben Payson on trumpet.
