Midcoast Humane will host its second Shelter-bration event 6-9 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Maine Maritime Museum in Bath. The evening will be an opportunity for shelter supporters and friends to enjoy catered food and drink, and to celebrate the organization’s successes from the past year.
“This is a great way for members of the community to support the important work of Midcoast Humane, and of course, the animals we take care of,” said Kadie Glynn, Midcoast Humane’s special events coordinator. “Shelter-bration is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to everyone who is helping us achieve our mission of making life better for animals and people in our community, and it’s an opportunity to welcome into our family those that want to be a part of the work we do.”
“We’re looking forward to sharing a fun night with our friends and supporters at Shelter-bration,” Glynn continued. “Without their support, we are simply not able to do the work we do for animals and pet owners in the Midcoast.”
Midcoast Humane supporter Jim Bleikamp, owner and president of Radio Midcoast WCME, will emcee the event.
Catered light fare will be provided by 111 Maine. There will be a cash bar, sponsored by Footbridge Brewery and Cellar Door Winery, as well as a wine toss, beer pull, and mystery prize board. Tickets are $40 per person or $75 per pair and may be purchased at midcoasthumane.org/shelterbration or by calling (207)449-1366, ext. 110.
