WELLS– Freeport bounced back from its first loss with a dominating 6-0 Western Maine Conference victory over Wells on Thursday in girls high school soccer action. 

Cat Gould scored her first of four goals 1:50 into the game, followed two minutes later by a Carly Intraversato unassisted tally. Rachel Wall tacked on a first-half goal as the Falcons built a 5-0 halftime lead. 

Intraversato had two assists, with Abby Brier, Gracie Morse and Megan Driscoll adding a helper each. 

Leah Rusiecki and Lilly Whalen each made two saves in Freeport’s cage. 

The Falcons are 6-1 and host St. Dom’s on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.

BRUNSWICK — Bonny Eagle captured a 3-0 victory over Brunswick/Mt. Ararat, which fell to 1-6 and visits Gorham next Thursday at 6 p.m. 

The Dragons were paced by Sabrina Cooper’s four kills, with Naomi Martin adding four aces, two digs and a kill. Jaden Lohr chipped in three kills and two digs. 

Boys soccer

WINTHROP — Hunter Brissette scored a goal with 19 seconds remaining in the second overtime to give Lisbon a 4-3 Mountain Valley Conference win over Winthrop.   

Douglass led Lisbon (6-1) with two goals, while Ring Ring added a goal for the Greyhounds, who host Oak Hill on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Ring’s goal came with 30 seconds remaining in regulation off an assist from Elijah Fullerton, one of Fullerton’s two assists in the contest. 

Rowan Bain tallied the game’s first two goals for Winthrop (3-5), while Iker Penniman added a score in the second half for a 3-2 Ramblers lead.

“I was pleased with the team, to come back from two down to tie the game and 3-2 down to tie it again at the end of regulation shows a lot of character,” said Lisbon coach Shawn Rhoda, who praised the defensive play of Calvin Jeselskis and Caleb Phillipps. 

Field hockey

TOPSHAM — Wyley Fitzpatrick scored the game-winning goal to lift Mt. Ararat to a 2-1 KVAC win over Camden Hills. 

Trailing 1-0, Brea Holtet converted a Fitzpatrick feed to tie the game for the Eagles (6-2). Hannah Huston assisted on Fitzpatrick’s winning goal. 

Lulu Lydon scored for the Windjammers off an assist from Sophia Campbell. 

In net, Mt. Ararat’s Lily Schenk made one save and Emma Lapreziosa two stops, while Camden keeper Vicki Balla had six stops.

Mt. Ararat visits Oxford Hills on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. 

At Bath, Macey Coffin broke a 1-1 KVAC tie as the Shipbuilders improved to 4-3. 

Paige Willis gave Morse a 1-0 halftime lead. 

Waterville tied the game 50 seconds into the second half on a Raylee Gilbert goal.

Coffin broke the deadlock with 25:54 remaining, and Willis’ second tally gave the hosts a 3-1 lead with 6:41 left. 

Birthday girl Kimberly St. Pierre finished the scoring with 1:39 remaining. 

Morse visits Erskine Academy on Saturday at 9 a.m.
